Access North has received additional funds from the Grand Rapids Area Community Foundation (Edgar and Hannah Hetteen Fund and MDI Success at Work Non-Endowed Fund) for use in our Home Modification Mini-Grant Program! This program will provide a grant (up to $500) to go towards the cost of improvements such as ... modifying bathrooms, entrances, or purchasing grab bars, assistive technology, raised toilet seats, lever door handles or any other number of improvements that are necessary to keep an individual’s home as accessible as possible.
